How do I use the DISTO to take common measurements?

The easiest way to take a measurement is by what we call, “Point and Shoot”.

Standing at one end of the wall that you’re about to measure, aim the laser at something located at the other end. This could be another wall or a downspout. In this example, we’re using a downspout. While a downspout is measuring tape’s enemy, the DISTO loves them.  They make great targets.

Aim the laser at the downspout and press a button.  Your measurement is displayed instantly.

Note: A downspout is normally 3 to 5 inches wide. This can be measured easily with the ruler on the back of the DISTO to obtain your final measurement.
